Praising - Ag Moladh
Here are some useful phrases for praising children, this can be used for daily activities, games etc. They are also useful as a part of normal conversation. Insert as you would in your English conversation.

Aimsir Láithreach - Present Tense
Aimsir Láithreach - Present
Tense
An Chéad Réimniú – One Syllable – 1st
Conjunction
Tóg - take
Tógaim – I take
Tógann tú – you take
Tógann sé/sí – he/she takes
Tógaimid – We take
Tógann sibh – You take (plural)
Tógann siad – they take
The endings in bold can be added to any one syllable verb to make it present tense.
For example you can use the endings in the following words:-
cás - twist/turn
cíor - comb
cnag - knock
croch - hang
crom - stoop
cum - compose
díol - sell
dún - close
glan - clean
las - light
mol - praise
póg - kiss
*** these are the root verbs - when looking up in a dictionary you would find the verbs in this form rather than with the endings attached. However, It is useful to know that some online dictionaries will recognize the verbs with endings.

Cásaim - I turn
Cásann tú - you turn
Cásann sé/sí - he/she turns
cíoraimid - we comb
cíorann sibh - you (plural) comb
cíorann siad - they comb

Aimsir Fháistineach – Future Tense
Modh Coinníollach – Condtional Mood
Modh Foshuiteach Láithreach – Present Subjunctive Tense
Modh Ordaitheach – Imperative Mood
Ainm Briathartha – Verbal Noun
Aidiacht Bhriathartha – Verbal Adjective
Diúltach - Negative
Ceisteach -
Interrogative (question)
Saorbhriathar –Impersonal or Autonomous Form
An Chéad Réimniú – The First Conjunction – a.k.a one
syllable
An Dara Réimniú – The Second Conjunction – a.k.a two
syllable
Familiarize yourself with these terms as these are going to be very important when learning grammar. It become more apparent and easier to understand once we see these terms in practice and where they fit.. but it always helps to be familiar with these terms when starting off.
